Pleasing Purple

Today’s blog post is dedicated to the color purple.  A beautiful blend between two primary colors – red and blue – purple lies on the color wheel between magenta and violet.  Purple has been associated with nobility and royalty throughout the ages, first stemming from classical antiquity when Tyrian purple was only affordable to the elites.   In fact, Roman emperors were said to have worn imperial robes of purple with gold trim.

This bold and electric color is pleasing to the eye.  It’s no wonder why purple is now one of the most popular colors for clothing, accessories, and furnishings.  Perhaps you even use this color often in your sewing projects …  we sure do!
