If It’s Not Baroque, Don’t Fix It!
There are many design styles that have withstood the test of time, but none quite like Baroque. Stemming from Rome, Italy in the 1600’s, Baroque is an artistic style that uses clear, easily-interpreted detail to produce drama, tension, exuberance, and grander. Churches and palaces have used this style throughout the years to communicate various stories or religious beliefs, or even to impress visitors. Throughout the years, this style has been seen in numerous paintings, architecture, dance, music, clothing and interior design.
But Baroque is not just a thing of the past! Flash forward to modern day, and we still often see this style used in fashion and décor. It truly is a undying art form – hence the title, “If It’s Not Baroque, Don’t Fix It!” To check out some current Baroque design, visit BREWER's latest Pinterest board! http://pinterest.com/brewerinspires/baroque/
