Close your eyes and think about all of the clothing you have in your closet.  Now, close them again and take a mental picture of all of the rooms in your home.  Visualize your living room, your kitchen, your bedroom ….

Do you see any yellow there?  Is yellow in your wardrobe?

We think that yellow is a fascinating color that sometimes isn’t used as often as it should compared to some of the other colors in the spectrum.  And it really should be!  Yellow symbolizes joy and delight and can create feelings of happiness.  However, this color must be used in moderation because it can also be overwhelming for some people if used too much.

When you start a new sewing or home décor project – or even when you create a new apparel item – considering using a touch of yellow.  A pillow, some window treatments, an accent wall and a fabric flower are some great examples.  When used as a “statement color,” yellow can enhance the feel of a room or bring life to a new outfit!  Try it and you’ll see!
